Somaliland Empowerment and Aid for Sustainable Development (SEAD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in January 2025, with its headquarters based in Ceerigaabo, Sanaag region, Somaliland. SEAD is committed to empowering communities and advancing sustainable development across all regions of Somaliland.
Founded by a group of passionate individuals driven by the desire to bring positive change, SEAD focuses on creating lasting impact in the areas of education, health, livelihoods, water and sanitation, and youth empowerment. Through inclusive, community-led initiatives, SEAD works to reduce poverty, promote equity, and support the self-reliance of vulnerable populations.
SEAD believes in sustainable change built on local participation, transparency, and partnerships with civil society, private sector, and international stakeholders. Our programs are people-centered and evidence-based, aimed at improving the quality of life for all Somalilanders.
